This Privacy Policy describes how kaomoji.tools (“we”, “the site”) collects, uses, and protects information when you use this site.
Information we collect
kaomoji.tools is designed to be used without creating an account. We do not collect personally identifiable information directly. Specifically:
- localStorage: When you use the “Copy” button or mark a kaomoji as a favorite, your browser stores the copied kaomoji text, the slug, and a timestamp in localStorage. This data never leaves your device. You can clear it at any time via your browser settings.
- Contact form: If you choose to send a message via the contact form, we collect the name, email, and message you enter. This information is used only to respond to your inquiry.
- Server logs: Our server may log IP addresses, browser user-agents, and requested URLs for the purpose of operational monitoring and abuse prevention. Logs are rotated and not retained long-term.
Cookies and tracking
kaomoji.tools uses Google Analytics 4 (GA4) to understand how visitors use the site in aggregate. GA4 may set cookies such as _ga and _ga_* to distinguish unique visitors. The data is processed by Google according to their Privacy Policy. We do not link this data to any personal identifier.
We also use Cloudflare in front of our origin server, which may set technical cookies for security (bot detection) and performance.
Third-party advertising may be added in the future. If so, this policy will be updated accordingly.
